Ford Focus Electric

We already know that the number of green drivers is on the up. In fact, sales of Electric Vehicles virtually doubled from January to September 2012. Watch this space for details of fourth quarter sales once available.

This increase has been helped by the Government grants available – and you may still qualify – contact us to find out what is available to you.

EV sales have gathered speed due to cost savings (75% less than conventional fuel), increased range (average of 100 miles) and a stylish look.

2012 was an exciting year with electric models launched including the Toyota Prius, Vauxhall Ampera and Renault Fluence ZE – all available for under £30,000 with battery hiring (rather than ownership).

2013 will see the arrival of even more exciting EVs by BMW, Ford and Tesla Motors. The Ford Focus is one of Britain’s most popular cars – the electric version offers an equivalent of 110mpg and a range of 100 miles. Pricing for the new electric Focus and also the BMW i3 (the larger i8 is planned for 2014) is yet to be announced. They’ll have a tough job to beat Renault… the new Zoe will be available this year available for under £14,000.

So, EVs are definitely an affordable purchase as well as a money-saving drive. With sales on the up and prices coming down, now’s the time to book your test drive!
